It was a true pleasure to be part of an initiative dedicated to supporting local communities and contributing to long term societal growth. Startups are a vital pillar of the digital economy, and investing in entrepreneurial talent is essential for building resilient and sustainable innovation ecosystems.

Our journey with the American University of Technology (AUT) to Germany, in collaboration with Bonn Rhein Sieg University of Applied Sciences and the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), focused on upskilling talent and strengthening technology driven entrepreneurship. The program aimed to bridge academia and innovation while fostering meaningful collaboration between Lebanon and Germany, and bringing the CREATE program winners to learn.

This experience went beyond expectations. Through workshops, discussions, and knowledge exchange, participants gained valuable exposure to international innovation ecosystems and best practices. Special thanks go to Dr. Walid Karam and the AUT team, including Sajida El Othman and Cynthia Zouein, for their continuous support and commitment to empowering future entrepreneurs.

I also had the pleasure of participating in the closing ceremony panel and the memorandum of understanding signing for future collaboration and exchange programs between Lebanon 🇱🇧 and Germany 🇩🇪, alongside Rainer Herpers. This milestone marks an important step toward strengthening academic, entrepreneurial, and innovation ties between both countries.

As we move forward, the focus remains on securing additional funding, expanding partnerships, and accelerating the impact of the CREATE Entrepreneurship Center. Building strong startup ecosystems requires sustained effort, collaboration, and a shared vision for innovation-led growth.
